The Longest Green

The Lebanon green claims to be the New England’s longest town green still in agricultural use.  Here, during the Revolutionary War, a seven month encampment by the Lauzun’s Legion, (the French cavalry) led by General Rochambeau occurred.  Along the greens edges some of the Revolutions most prominent citizens lived and planned the fight for the cause of the new republic.
